Mina and Harper

An order for a wedding in April. Their cats as bride and groom for the cake. What a great idea! I really enjoyed making these two.

I found a bigger shadow box frame, gives it a bit more breathing space.

So here is the finished owl with frame. My painting skills are not perfect, but it is a first attempt. I need to find better shadow boxes.

Shadow Owl

I thought I would try something different from dogs and cats, and explored my arty side. This is a barn owl in semi 3D. His front wing floats above the base and the rest of the owl, so you get a sense of depth. I bought a shadow box which I will mount it in, and I'm toying with the idea of adding some vertical twigs so you get the sense of the owl flying through the trees. Its an idea anyhow.
