Bear workshop
Bears from my workshop. Super sweet little characters came to life, and a great bunch of students who picked up the technique so quickly. A pleasure to teach!

Meet Bobbie
Bobbie's owner sent me his fur and I used it in this sculpture. I really enjoyed using his fur as it blended well with the wool and added a lovely finish.

Two beloved pets
I received the most lovely email from the owner of Cougar and Jesse. I am so glad I can provide some comfort when we lose our pets and create a little something to help remember them by. Inside each of these feltpets is the fur of each dog.

In memory of Jesse.

Today's Needle Felted Dog workshop
Had a small cosy class of five today. They were fantastic and worked really well, so much so that they all completed their dogs ahead of time. I think they all enjoyed themselves and they were inspired to source more wool and make some more. Really makes teaching a pleasure!

Why a FeltPet sculpture is not a dog toy
This is Nicky the Boxer's FeltPet sculpture.

This is what happened when Nicky's sibling decided to have a chew and play with the mini Nicky. The ears were ripped off, and the the surface was quite roughed up.
The owners tried to repair the damage with glue, which is not recommended, as the glue just seeps into the wool. I had to remove quite a chunk of wool from the head! (see the pic on the right). The ears I could not salvage either as they were stiffened with glue.

This is the repaired FeltPet sculpture.
That's why I say that these miniatures are not toys for pets!

Last workshop for the year (possibly)
I had 12 wonderfully enthusiastic students for my last class for the year. And look at the wonderful pack we all made, including a cavalier, dalmatian and a cardigan corgi!

Last workshop for the year (possibly)
Teddy bears today. Possibly my last workshop for the year, depending on how I'm going after next month when my first baby is born. A November workshop is penciled in.
Had another great group of ladies in today, all enthusiastically getting in touch with their inner bears. All of them came out great and with their own personalities, and we even had a lion come out. All did brilliantly for their first times.
